1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 BACKGROUND
e+p are an independent technical management consultancy.
We provide a one-stop facilities project management consultancy comprising multi-discipline technical support from cradle to grave for major capital developments regardless of end user technology.

The company development has been aided by a number of professional consultants and advisers who provided support during start-up and have demonstrated commitment to the growth of the company. Our consultants experience has been gained on projects of all sizes throughout the world, including the developing countries where cross-cultural influences and tensions are in evidence.

e+p’s aim is to offer clients added value to their operations through a responsive, flexible and impartial service tailored to their specific requirements as befits a dynamic high-calibre consultancy.
e+p is at the core of a loose atomic alliance of affiliate companies with experience and expertise in supplementary areas.

1.2 THE CONSULTANTS
e+p provide advice, appraisal, engineering and procurement execution and project management for development activities.

We specialise in technical and economic evaluation, safety, reliability and commercial risk analysis, project management, value improvement and commissioning systems.

The Company has offices in London on the Southbank.

2.0 e+p ORGANISATION AND ROLES

2.1 TEAM ORGANISATION
Our organisation contains a project management team that has worked closely together on many projects and experienced field workers capable of ‘multi-tasking’. We are able to offer total flexibility to clients through a combination of part traditional and virtual working techniques, leveraging the convenience of the Internet.

Other points worth noting are as follows:

  • our team includes technical specialists to address each discipline, to be used on an ad-hoc basis.
  • team members have a minimum of 15 years experience and are qualified and experienced in line with e+p quality system requirements. All personnel offered will have had experience of design, construction, commissioning and operational facilities.
  • our team includes specialists with the necessary authority liaison experience with suitable gravitas to represent the client in any discussions with statutory and regulatory authorities.
  • e+p do undertake studies from our offices on the Southbank although we can naturally provide in-house support if preferred.

3.1 Consultancy Services Expertise
The areas of expertise that we believe may be of particular interest to clients include:

 Project Management
e+p is able to field strong multi-disciplined Project Management charged with the management of your capital intensive Project.
e+p Project Managers are able to fulfil complete life cycle management from conception and evaluation through to execution, commissioning and operation.

  HSE Management
e+p is able to support the development of HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators. This will ensure that the clients’ business practises and operations are consistent with in-house standards and procedures and local laws and regulations. HSE objectives can be fully integrated into the overall business plan.
We will also ensure that procedures are maintained with the latest information on any new or amended legislation and policy and that this is communicated to all key stakeholders.
Our systematic processes will ensure that assessment of HSE risk is comprehensive and covers all the life cycle phases of any project from project identification, conceptual design through to operations and decommissioning.
Our consultants are fully conversant with all the latest analytical techniques, but are experienced and pragmatic enough in their approach, to develop ‘fit for purpose’ solutions that may negate use of more expensive, time-consuming methods, where appropriate.
e+p recognise Hazard Management as a key area that can affect and shape concept options. For this reason we believe that it is vital that Hazard Identification activities are undertaken at the very earliest stages of any project, large or small.

 Risk Management
The successful management of Risk in today's fast moving environment separates winning companies from the rest, e+p believe that the evaluation and mitigation of risk is most effective at the planning and co-ordination stages of a development, this philosophy has been rigorously incorporated into our management processes.
e+p provide the risk analysis and management systems that allow you to comprehensively manage your risks without the introduction of extensive internal systems. Our consultants working with your staff and using the e+p systematic risk management process can develop risk models of your business or project, with scenario analysis and mitigation. We provide structured assessments utilising an experienced e+p facilitator to develop a comprehensive model of your business or project for qualitative and quantitative assessment, resulting in a balanced overall assessment of your business risk.

 Process design
e+p can provide highly qualified, experienced Process engineers who have the range of skills necessary to meet your challenges. All our Process engineering staff are familiar with industry standard software simulation packages (e.g. Hysis, Pipesim), or alternatively, can develop adhoc systems, spreadsheets, databases, etc, as appropriate. e+p can provide rapid, innovative solutions and have the capability to manage your Process needs all the way from conception through to final commissioning.

 Facilities Design
To complement our project management expertise, e+p provide multi-discipline engineering support to fully define development options and prepare design packages.
Our consultants are industry recognised professional engineers covering electrical power, telecommunications, fire protection, mechanical, piping systems, civil and structural engineering, safety and environmental engineering and architectural fit out. We also provide construction and installation supervision and management.

 Reliability, Availability and Maintainability
Providing facilities that will maintain production at its design requirement is the key commercial objective of the project. Accurately understanding the production system is the route to achieving this goal. e+p employ reliability tools and techniques at all stages in the facilities life cycle.
Maximum benefits can be achieved with minimum costs by performing reliability studies early in the design phase. Availability studies using statistical data or more sophisticated simulation techniques can optimise plant availability and help define future maintenance and spares holding requirements.
