Energy and Power was appointed by the Technical Banks group to undertake a review of the project and to provide a Due Diligence function in support of a multi-billion dollar finance package. Our role has included a Technical and Project Management review of the proposals for the deep water oil development. The facilities comprise turret moored FPSO, remote drilling, subsea manifolds, flowlines and risers. We provided an independent assessment of overall facilities cost and implementation schedule, together with regular update reviews of the project and the implementation by the incumbent project team, particularly from a cost and schedule perspective.

The event was staged at the European Parliament in Brussels and was overseen by Nirj Deva MEP and His Excellency Gilbert Ondongo, the Minister of Finance for The Republic of Congo: the Honorary Co-Presidents of the EU-Congo Chamber of Commerce.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Mrs Paula Linhart, Chairman of the Chamber and was attended by a high-level delegation of Ministers from The Republic of Congo along with representatives of European companies currently trading with and doing work in Congo.

Events were preceded by a luncheon at the office of The Chamber of Commerce, with an opportunity to meet with Ministers and were followed by a cocktail reception in the European Parliament building.

Sasol Petroleum Temane (SPT) – a subsidiary of Sasol Petroleum International (SPI) – is an oil and gas company which, among other assets, operates the Inhassoro field in southern Mozambique. It is intending to carry out an extended well test (EWT) on the I-9z well within the Inhassoro field, running the well test for a period of up to approximately two years.

The scope of work is to validate existing facilities as well as engineer, procure, install and make ready for commissioning the facilities.
