Energy and Power defined and completed the Engineering, Procurement Project and Construction Management role on an Early Production Facility for this onshore oil field. Energy and Power developed Operating systems and trained and mentored SNPC technical staff.

Energy and Power is acting as Owner’s Engineer for this EDF Energy salt cavern gas storage project in Cheshire. Energy and Power is defining the engineering design limits and criteria within which the detail design is developed, monitoring the detail design, co-ordinating technical matters with drilling contractors and managing the overall delivery of the gas storage and treatment facilities.

Work on this utilities based project was undertaken over an eighteen-month pre-sanction period with Energy and Power supporting the client organisation in their structure and provision of procurement support services to augment areas where the contractor organisation had been identified as weak. This arrangement allowed the client to concentrate on the key issues of managing the authorities, financial institutions and government bodies and other stakeholders.

Energy and Power were contracted to provide multi discipline engineering including pipeline and HDD expertise from FEED through to construction and installation of a new section of the Trans Pennine Ethylene Pipeline (TPEP), providing project selection and project execution services.

This study assumed that the oil composition for the Tchibala fields was similar to Etame crude. The Etame flow assurance plan was based upon keeping the flowing temperature above about 40 deg C, and being able to displace oil from the top of tubing and subsea equipment in order to avoid restart problems.

Energy and Power provided support to Sasol’s London based operation with assistance in the development, implementation and operation of an information and document management process for the London office.

Energy and Power undertook a study at the request of SASOL on behalf of the Etame Marin partners to address the major issues associated with handling the Remboue crude on the Etame FPSO vessel and subsequently proposes a basis for setting a tariff.

Feasibility study and cost estimate for a large-scale gas development in the Middle East, interface to authorities and liaison in country. Provision of on-going support to the client in their negotiations for a new offshore development.

Energy an Power is appointed by the Technical Banks group to undertake a review of the project and to provide a Due Diligence function in support of a multi-billion dollar finance package.

Energy and Power was contracted to assess the current development plan and undertook cost and technical assessment of the FLNG option.

Design of flare and vent systems of a gas pipeline development and associated Compressor Station for Zuetina Oil Company, Libya.

Energy and Power were requested to identify development scenarios and associated costs as input to Pan Petroleum’s economic analysis and valuation of the block.

The Energy and Power study scope included a technical HSE and operational survey, followed by multi-discipline concept design for development of four new GOSP facilities and refurbishment and improvement of 11 existing GOSP facilities.

A study was undertaken to assess the potential future use of the depleted reservoirs (almost end of field life) and infrastructure of an offshore gas production facility in the North Sea. Potential options considered were storage of natural gas for seasonal production to the UK gas market and storage of flue gas (CO2) produced as a by-product of power generation from fossil fuels.

FEED study work for 300MW open cycle power station in Tunisia, gas reception facilities and interconnecting pipeline on accelerated schedule. The power plant consisted of 7 aero-derivative gas turbine generators equipped with inlet air chilling equipment.

Energy and Power has provided engineering verification and project management services.

The engineering verification and project management addressed all disciplines of the development within engineering offices, vendor locations and site. In addition, we have provided services centred around specific scopes of work including incident investigation, HAZOP close out, management of QRA and development of Safety Case.

Field development and process support to offshore development throughout lifecycle. Option selection process review and development of full production chemistry premise for facility. Development of models for process and ongoing option selection studies of near-lying reserves.

Energy and Power’s scope commenced with a review of the pre-FEED design, followed by preparation of the Project Quality Manual and updating of the Basis of Design and generation of the FEED Scope of Work and Deliverables List. Our LNG expertise was utilized by the Client in provision of Technical Support and Due Diligence as part of the option selection process.

The Energy and Power team undertook the project management of the increase in gas storage compression duties, gas turbines upgrade and compression equipment change-out including all engineering verification.

Energy and Power performed this study as Shell was seeking an update on the current state of the FSRU market.

A review was undertaken of the feasibility of landing gas in Malta and using this gas for the generation of electricity. The options identified were evaluated from an initial technical feasibility perspective and capital cost estimates, based on company expenses (without backup) were developed.

Energy and Power was contracted to undertake a study on behalf of the client to assess the economic and technical viability of a proposal for the development of an underground gas storage facility in East Yorkshire, UK. A report was submitted to our client who was a potential investor, operator and owner of the facility.

Energy and Power was appointed on behalf of the project financiers and the IPO advisors to act as an expert in undertaking a Peer Review study and audit which incorporated an economic viability assessment of the proposed development.

Inpex sought to build and operate an LNG plant in the Kimberley area off the northwest coast of Australia. Energy and Power were contracted to provide a process design study.
